23.09.2025 09:06 Rita Longobardi

Zurich-based robotics company ANYbotics has secured more than EUR 127 million in total funding to accelerate global expansion and prepare the launch of its new ANYmal X model, expected to reach the market in 2026.

Founded in 2016, ANYbotics develops AI-driven robots for industrial inspections, tackling safety and efficiency challenges in hazardous or hard-to-reach environments. Its four-legged ANYmal robots autonomously detect issues like overheating, abnormal vibrations, or gas leaks, providing real-time analysis and reducing downtime.

Over 200 units of the first ANYmal model are already performing thousands of inspections weekly across oil and gas, mining, power, and metals industries. The upcoming ANYmal X, the first Ex-certified legged robot, is designed for explosive environments, enabling continuous and safe operations.

Deployments include the Northern Lights CCS facility in Norway, where ANYmal robots monitor CO2 levels and conduct inspections autonomously, improving safety and operational reliability for the joint venture between Equinor, TotalEnergies, and Shell.

The company has been ranked among the Top100 Swiss Startups and Scale-Ups.
