SOPHiA GENETICS, a Swiss-founded healthcare technology company focused on AI-driven precision medicine, has closed an oversubscribed public offering, raising gross proceeds of USD 57.5 million. The financing reflects investor interest in the company's growth plans and the broader market opportunity for AI-powered healthcare solutions.
The Top100 Swiss Startup SOPHiA GENETICS closed an oversubscribed public offering, raising USD 57.5 million in gross proceeds. The offering included the full exercise of the underwriters' option to purchase an additional 1,578,900 ordinary shares. In total, the company sold 12,104,900 ordinary shares at a public offering price of USD 4.75 per share, with all shares issued and sold by SOPHiA GENETICS.
According to SOPHiA GENETICS, the proceeds will support platform expansion, the development of new applications, geographic growth, and strategic partnerships. The financing follows several recent developments, including the formation of a joint venture with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and a leadership transition that will see current President Ross Muken assume the role of CEO.
SOPHiA GENETICS develops cloud-native healthcare technology designed to expand access to data-driven medicine for patients with cancer and rare disorders. Its SOPHiA DDM platform analyzes genomic and multimodal data to provide actionable insights for hospitals, laboratories, and biopharma organizations. Nearly 1,000 healthcare institutions worldwide use the platform.
The company reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of USD 21.7 million, representing year-over-year growth of 22%. IFRS net loss reached USD 19.3 million, up 11% from the same period last year. SOPHiA GENETICS expects to approach adjusted EBITDA breakeven by the end of 2026 and achieve positive adjusted EBITDA during the second half of 2027.
