Starmind acquired by US AI platform Capacity

Swiss AI pioneer Starmind has joined forces with US-based support automation company Capacity, bringing its expertise-mapping technology to a global platform.
For years, organizations have invested heavily in documenting knowledge across wikis, intranets, and databases. Generative AI has made this documented knowledge more accessible than ever. Yet a major challenge persists: critical knowledge that remains undocumented is invisible to AI systems.
Founded in 2010, Starmind, ranked among the Top100 Swiss Startups, addresses this gap by identifying employees who hold essential, unwritten expertise. Its AI technology maps who knows what within a company and directs queries to the right person. Starmind counts several major corporations among its clients, including Pepsico, Roche, and Accenture.
Capacity, founded in 2017 and headquartered in the United States, provides an AI-powered support automation platform used by over 20,000 companies, including 3M, Disney, American Express, and Sony. With $60 million in annual recurring revenue and more than $155 million raised, Capacity has grown steadily and achieved profitability in 2025. The acquisition of Starmind allows Capacity to expand beyond documented knowledge and tap into what it calls “living, human expertise.”
