At the ninth edition of the Top100 Investor Summit, selected startups presented their technologies to Swiss and international investors seeking high-potential opportunities. The invitation-only gathering featured engaging presentations, lively discussions, and in-person networking. Supported by Kellerhals Carrard, Stadt Schlieren, Swisscom Ventures, Canton of Vaud, Zürcher Kantonalbank, and Canton of Zurich, the Summit attracted attention from across the investment community.

Top100 startups pitch to global investors
More than 100 international angels, venture capital investors, corporate VCs, and family office representatives from Europe, America, and Asia took part in the ninth edition of the Top100 Investor Summit. The event brought together handpicked Top100 startups in both the seed and growth stages, along with a pool of global investors, collectively bringing over 20 billion in investment capital to the table.

Exit Strategies: Where do we stand?
Following the dinner, the summit continued the next day with more than 30 startup pitches. A panel discussion on exit strategies, moderated by Venturelab Managing Partner Jordi Montserrat, featured Gitte Bedford (Vice President at Bosch Ventures), Michelle Tschumi (Head of Startup Finance at Zürcher Kantonalbank), Philipp Stauffer (Managing Partner at Fyrfly Venture Partners), and Stefan Kuentz (Managing Partner at Swisscom Ventures).

“As investors, we are satisfied with exits, but valuations don’t always match expectations.” Michelle Tschumi (Head of Startup Finance at Zürcher Kantonalbank)

“People say exits are down in Switzerland, but in 2024 we saw 63 — many in biotech, and also deeptech and ICT.” Stefan Kuentz (Managing Partner at Swisscom Ventures)

“Strong companies will always find an exit — it’s the market, not the founders, that dictates timing.” Gitte Bedford (Vice President at Bosch Ventures)

“If you are close to an exit, don’t do it out of pressure. Market windows reopen — aim higher.” Philipp Stauffer (Managing Partner at Fyrfly Venture Partners).

The Summit also included one-on-one meetings between founders and investors. “For investors, three events back-to-back — the dinner, summit, and Top 100 Awards — create a rare chance to dive deeper into what startups do,” says Philipp Stauffer on the Top100 Swiss Startup Award.
